Makes 4 – 6 servings
Preparation and cooking time: 30 minutes


4 pieces eggplants
¼ kilo ground pork
2 tablespoons white onions, minced
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons spring onion, finely chopped
4 tablespoons flour
4 eggs
1 sachet 8g MAGGI MAGIC SARAP®
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
6 pieces sliced cheese
6 pieces large pan de sal


1. Roast eggplants over an open flame until charred. Allow to cool, peel off charred skin, and coarsely chop.
2. In a bowl, combine ground pork, chopped eggplants, onion, garlic, spring onion, flour, and eggs. Season with MAGGI MAGIC SARAP®. Mix well.
3. In a heated pan, pour a spoonful of the tortang talong mixture and fry until golden brown. Flip patties over and place cheese on top, cooking until it melts.
4. Toast pan de sal and assemble with the tortang talong patties for a perfect and delicious pambaon!
