On the hunt for a unique cafe experience? You don’t have to drive far to enjoy one. Nestled in Taft Avenue, The Director’s Cafe lets its customers enjoy the best of both worlds: movies and caffeine. Check them out:

The Director’s Cafe

If there are two things many Pinoys discovered a love for during the pandemic, they’re the love for movies/shows and coffee. Located just in front of Hotel Benilde in Taft, The Director’s Cafe is the spot where you can enjoy both. Whether you’re a student looking for a place to study or want a new hang-out spot with the barkada, this cafe is for you.

On the ground floor, you’ll find a cozy cafe set up. It wouldn’t be difficult to find a spot where you can study alone or share a table with your study group. After hours of studying, you can reward yourself with a movie!

You’ll find a movie theater upstairs, complete with comfy cushions and tables. Order more food and drinks, and have a viewing party with friends. To use the theater, all you need is to have a total of PHP 300 order, which will grant you a movie pass.

It’s also a nostalgic experience since you’ll get to choose from the cafe’s cabinet of movie CDs.

Note that a PHP 300 order is only for one movie pass.

The Menu

Whether you’re visiting to study for hours or catch up with friends, The Director’s Cafe offers a variety of drinks and snacks to keep you full. According to previous customers, their Spanish Latte (starts at P110) is something you’ll come back for!

Events

Planning to surprise a friend, have a meeting, or have a celebration? The Director’s Cafe allows mini-event bookings for their movie theater, which can accommodate up to 12 people.

You need to reserve the theater three to five days before your date of booking and pay a 50% downpayment. Prices start at P2,500, which includes three hours of theater use and PHP 500 worth of consumables.

The cafe is pet-friendly too, but furbabies must be in strollers or wear diapers.

Location and Operating Hours

The Director’s Cafe is located at Unit C 1059 Estrada Street, Malate, Manila.

They are open on Mondays to Saturdays from 11 AM to 8 PM. The last call for the theater is at 6:30 PM and it closes at 9 PM.
