The Singapore Tourism Board treated us with a special lunch with Keng Eng Kee Seafood (KEK), the world-renowned Singaporean restaurant that serves Zi Char cuisine. The family business has been awarded the Michelin Plate from 2016 to 2019. It’s also in the Ctrip Gourmet List and Burpple Singapore‘s Top 100 Hawkers list for 2018.

They had been featured in Netflix’s Street Food and Anthony Bourdain’s Parts Unknown, too. KEK’s third generation Executive Chef Wayne Liew fired up Your Local’s kitchen for their Manila takeover during the Asian Culinary Challenge. With Zi Char cuisine relying heavily on stir-frying and using the wok, Chef Wayne served up five of their specialities. Watch the video to check them out!
