Makes 6 servings
Preparation and cooking time: 30 minutes



1/2 tablespoon olive oil
1/4 cup butter
1 clove garlic, minced
1 piece siling labuyo, chopped
3 pieces salted eggs, peeled and chopped
5 tablespoons hoisin sauce
1/3 cup water
1 piece bay leaf
4 stalks leeks, chopped
1/2 kilo shrimps
1/8 cup crab paste (optional)


1. Heat olive oil and butter in a pan over medium heat. Saute garlic and siling labuyo until garlic is golden.
2. Add the salted eggs, hoisin sauce, water, and bay leaf. Let it simmer.
3. Mix in the leeks. Add the shrimps and cook until pink.
4. If you wish to add crab paste, you can mix it in as well. Serve with the sauce separate or together with the shrimps.
