A vegetarian version of the Bistek Tagalog!

 500 g tofu
 2 cups soy sauce
  cup oyster sauce
 juice of 10-13 calamansi
 salt and pepperto taste
 1 large onioncut into circles
 1 eggplantcut into circles

In a large bowl, combine the soy sauce, oyster sauce, calamansi juice, salt and pepper. Make sure you mix thoroughly.

Add your tofu and eggplants in the marinade and let it marinate for 30 mins .

Pan sear the tofu and eggplant for 2-3 mins on each side.

Place back in the pan the eggplant and tofu then add the marinade and red onions. Cook for another 30 secs.

Serve with garlic rice and enjoy
