Pinoy “Non-Coffee” Dalgona

With the dalgona trend is starting to whip up on the net, here’s how you can easily make your own at home! With special Pinoy twists, of course!

BUKO PANDAN

Ingredients
1 cup cold milk
Ice

OPTIONAL:
1 tablespoon cooked sago
1 tablespoon buko pandan gulaman, cut into cubes

DALGONA WHIP:
½ cup all-purpose cream, chilled
½ cup canned coconut cream, chilled
3 tablespoons sugar
1½ teaspoon buko pandan essence

Procedure:
1. In a bowl, whip chilled cream, sugar, and buko pandan essence until soft peaks.
2. Assemble: in a glass, place sago, gulaman cubes, ice, milk and top with the whip.

MILO DINOSAUR

Ingredients
1 cup cold milk
Ice
Milo powder, for sprinkling

DALGONA WHIP:
½ cup all-purpose cream, chilled
3 tablespoons sugar
4 tablspoons Milo powder
3 tablespoons hot water

Procedure:
1. In a bowl, fully dissolve milo powder and sugar with hot water. Add chilled cream and whip until soft peaks.
2. Assemble: in a glass, place ice, milk and top with the whip. Sprinkle extra milo powder on top.

CHOCNUT

Ingredients
1 cup cold milk
Ice
Chocnut, crumbled

DALGONA WHIP:
½ cup all-purpose cream, chilled
3 tablespoons sugar
¼ cup chocnut, crushed
3 tablespoons hot water

Procedure:
1. In a bowl, fully dissolve chocnut powder and sugar with hot water. Add chilled cream and whip until soft peaks.
2. Assemble: in a glass, place ice, milk and top with the whip. Sprinkle extra chocnut on top.

UBE

Ingredients
1 cup cold milk
Ice

DALGONA WHIP:
½ cup all-purpose cream, chilled
3 tablespoons sugar
3 tablespoons Ube Halaya or Ube Jam OR 1½ teaspoons ube essence
3 tablespoons hot water (FOR MELTING UBE HALAYA/JAM)

Procedure:
1. In a bowl, fully dissolve ube halaya or jam and sugar with hot water. Add chilled cream and whip until soft peaks.
2. IF USING UBE ESSENCE: In a bowl, whip chilled cream, sugar, and ube essence until soft peaks.
3. Assemble: in a glass, place ice, milk and top with the whip.

MANGO GRAHAM

Ingredients
1 cup cold milk
Ice

OPTIONAL:
Graham crackers or crushed graham
Mango, cut into small dice

DALGONA WHIP:
½ cup all-purpose cream, chilled
3 tablespoons sugar
1 piece mango cheek, sliced into cubes

Procedure:
1. Blend/mash mango into a smooth puree. Add sugar and chilled cream then whip until soft peaks.
2. Assemble: in a glass, place diced mango, ice, milk, and top with the whip. Sprinkle with extra crushed graham.

MILK TEA

Ingredients
1 cup cold milk
Ice

OPTIONAL:
1 tablespoon boba pearls cooked in brown sugar

DALGONA WHIP:
½ cup all-purpose cream, chilled
3 tablespoons sugar
4 tablespoons instant Milk Tea powder
3 tablespoons hot water

Procedure:
1. In a bowl, fully dissolve milk tea powder and sugar with hot water. Add chilled cream and whip until soft peaks.
2. Assemble: in a glass, place boba pearls, ice, milk, and top with the whip.

AVOCADO

Ingredients
1 cup cold milk
Ice

OPTIONAL:
Avocado, cut into cubes

DALGONA WHIP:
½ cup all-purpose cream, chilled
3 tablespoons brown sugar
½ piece avocado, sliced into cubes

Procedure:
1. Blend/mash avocado into a smooth puree. Add sugar and chilled cream then whip until soft peaks.
2. Assemble: in a glass, place diced avocado, ice, milk, and top with the whip.

MELON

Ice

OPTIONAL:
Melon, strips

DALGONA WHIP:
½ cup all-purpose cream, chilled
3 tablespoons sugar
1 cup melon, sliced into cubes

Procedure:
1. Blend/mash melon into a smooth puree. Add sugar and chilled cream then whip until soft peaks.
2. Assemble: in a glass, place melon strips, ice, milk, and top with the whip.
