Spread the love

Antipolo is a favorite destination for people who want to get away from Metro Manila for a short time but still not travel too far. If you’re one of these people, you’ve probably visited a lot of the hang-out spots around the city, so you might be on the lookout for a new one. And you might find your new hangout spot at this newly opened cafe: Palpitate Coffee.

Palpitate Coffee

A minimalist cafe, Palpitate Coffee is located in a huge outdoor area filled with gravel and surrounded by several mini structures to house the cafe counters and air-conditioned seating area.

Adapting a combination of white and wood for its aesthetic, the cafe boasts clean lines and geometric designs reminiscent of its logo: a simple pulse line going down and up. You can grab a seat in the outdoor area where you can enjoy the breeze while staying shaded under the huge white umbrellas. Or you can stay cool and cozy by the tables in the indoor seating area.

Food and drinks

Coffee now, palpitate later is their tagline, and it couldn’t be more appropriate with their variety of offerings. For your caffeinated drinks, you can choose between two beans: Vietnamese Premium Arabica, which is described as fruity, citrusy, light, and bright; or their very own Palpitate Blend, which is described as a flavor that is consistently sweet, spicy, winey with sweet chocolate and strong cedar notes.

Once you’ve chosen your beans, you can try their pour over coffee with a choice among beans from Vietnam, Sidama Ethiopia, or Brazil for PHP 180. Palpitate Coffee also serves a wide range of both iced and hot drinks, such as Americano, Spanish Latte, Hazelnut Espresso, Belgian Chocolat, Matcha Latte, Seasalt Latte, Raspberry Citrus, and Bergamot Passion Tea. They also have their signature Palpitate Latte. Prices start at PHP 130 depending on what size you’ll get (12 oz and 16 oz) and whether you’ll get your drink as hot or iced.

To pair with your drink, you can get a croissant or a cookie, both available in different flavors and with prices starting at PHP 65. They also offer croffles (PHP 110), which are basically a cross between a croissant and a waffle.

If you’re looking for heavier fare, you don’t need to leave the cafe. Because aside from their pastries, Palpitate Coffee also offers filling meals, such as sandwiches, salad, steak, pasta, soup, appetizers, and entrees. If you love breakfast meals, you will enjoy their all-day breakfast menu as well. Prices start at PHP 180.

You can finish off your sumptuous meal with a cake, with choices ranging from classics like Choco Moist Cake and Strawberry Shortcake to creative flavors like Peanut Butter Banana Cake and Oreo Ganache Cake. Prices range from PHP 180 to 260 for cakes.

Entertainment

Aside from the delicious food and good coffee, you can enjoy the pretty view as you jam to live music. Palpitate Coffee holds acoustic nights every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. On occasion, they also host a number of other music sessions at their branch, one of which is a saxophone session where you can vibe with some jazz music as you sip your cup of coffee.
