This September the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) has brought different Singapore’s best restaurant to showcase the best of Singaporean food in Manila.

You can now taste the different delicacies, modern cuisine and flavorful favorites of Singapore at The Grid in Powerplant Mall, Makati City. This gastronomic event is the Manila Edition of the 29th Singapore Food Festival (SFF).

Theses are the participating establishments you can try at The Grid!

Keng Eng Kee Seafood (September 2-4)

Kee Eng Kee Seafood or KEK Seafood is best known for their Seafood dishes and Zi char cuisine. Zi Char which means “cook and fry” is a popular cooking style in Singaporean inspired by homecooked meals.

The Elephant Room (September 2-30)

The Elephant rooms is a contemporary bar inspired by the history and culture of Singapore’s Little India. They source their ingredients from Tekka Market (Singapore’s largest wet market) and create delicious libations that showcases the soul and culture of Little India.

The Coconut Club (September 9-11)

Known throughout Singapore for their Nasi Lemak, this Michellin Bib Gourmand awarded dish is a must try in The Coconut Club. Their Nasi Lemak is made with a coconut Jasmine rice, Chicken thigh marinated in Rempah (a blend of spices) for 12 hours and a sweet and savory sambal. Mark your calendars on when you can try this amazing Nasi Lemak.`

The Blue Smoke (September 16-18)

Blue smoke served modern Singaporean style barbecue. They’re a part of the culinary movement that creatively elevates local Singaporean flavors into modern cuisine. This movement is know as “Mod-Sin”. One of the most sought after dishes is the Rendang Wagyu Brisket.

New Ubin Seafood (September 23-25)

Another brand known for their Zi Char. This new fast dining concept fro New Ubin Seafood Group serves new and contemporary versions of Singaporean food. They are dedicated in serving “truly Singaporean meals for one”. One of their must try dish is the Heart Attack Fried Rice – Fried rice cooked in beef fat and drippings.

Local restaurant will also be participating and showcasing their take on Singaporean food.

BYRD Tubs (September 5-7 and September 19-21)

BYRD Tubs is an online store that’s been serving delicious chicken dishes since 2017. They served different types of chicken dishes such as Mouthwatering Chicken, Char Siu Chicken and Hainanese Chicken. Check out their website to try out their chicken-licious dishes.

China Mommy (September 12-14)

Your Local (September 26-30)

Your Local is a favorite dining spot in Legazpi Village that serves elevated Asian Comfort Food. Their Chili Crab Buns, Lamb Rendang and Torched Salmon Donburi are some of the must try from this restaurant. Try out their other delectable Asian fusion at their restaurant located at 106 Esteban, Legazpi Village, Makati. You can also order online at their website.
