The answer is no.

Ministop Philippines will continue to operate since it will be 100% owned by the Robinsons Supermarket Corporation by the time Ministop Japan will turn over its shares by February of this year. The Robinsons Retail Holdings, Inc. subsidiary has been in a joint partnership with the Japanese brand since the convenience store launched here in the country.

Thank goodness as well, because it also means that everyone’s favorites—Uncle John’s Fried Chicken and all the Kariman variants are here to stay!

Robinsons will continue to operate the stores under the same brand with plans of rebranding and repurposing in the future. This also means the brand will also be able to diversify its offerings by creating new affordable ready-to-eat meals and products for the local market.

Ministop Philippines currently has 460 branches in the country.
