In the midst of the pandemic, weekend road trips to visit new cafes and restaurants have been one of the numerous ways everyone is getting a breather. If you think you’ve already tried all the cafes near you, it’s time to branch out and go for a short drive to Pampanga and discover these Instagram-worthy spots with good coffee, food, and ambiance:

 

Kalidad Coffee

Location: Unit 101, Omnistellar Building, Fil-Am Highway, Angeles
Operating hours: Open daily from 10 AM to 8 PM

A visit to Kalidad Coffee is a treat for both the eyes and tummy. Boasting white walls and lightwood furniture, its bright interiors are an eye turner, especially for fans of minimalist design. Must-tries include the signature Kalidad Coffee over ice made with a shot of espresso and sweetened milk and Horchata if you want to try something new. This drink is made from toasted rice, milk, almonds, cinnamon, and vanilla.

 

Cafe Forest Coffee & Dessert

Location: New Forest Park Resort, Poinsettia Avenue, Angeles
Operating hours: Open daily from 10 AM to 10 PM

If you love cozy cafes, Cafe Forest’s cabin-like ambiance will make you want to order a hot drink, cozy up in a corner, and dive deep into a new read. They offer a variety of coffee-based drinks and frappes best paired with their cakes and pastries. Cafe Forest is also located in a resort, so if you’re looking for a new place to cool off during the summertime, this cafe is just the perfect spot for hitting two birds with one stone. They also have a restaurant offering Filipino and American dishes.

They also have conference rooms if you want a more private setting when you visit!

Yup, you can have your photos professionally taken in their in-house studio with every order! If you’re looking for a spot where you can take lots of photos, this K-inspired cafe will be worth the drive.

Pink Planter

Location: Dalanbaka Mc Arthur Highway, Brgy. Sulipan, Apalit, Pampanga

Walls painted pink outside; Pink Planter is a sight to behold when you enter this cute cafe. It looks straight out of your Pinterest board, which is a treat for plant lovers and fans of lowkey cafes. Here, you can get your dose of caffeine and go plant shopping; they have tools available as well. They also have a picturesque library with a good selection of books if you plan to stay. There’s no WiFi here on purpose; much like the ambiance of the cafe, you’ll focus more on appreciating slow days and good coffee instead!

Cafe Ana

Operating hours: Open daily from 10 AM – 10 PM and 12 NN – 10 PM on Sundays

Another K-inspired cafe, Cafe Ana is perfect for those who love all things dainty. Its bright, chic, and classy interiors will make you feel like you’re about to have a fancy afternoon tea. They even have a glass enclosure at the center of the cafe, adorned with fresh flowers or plants, making it an uber Instagrammable spot.

Teaspoon Cafe

Location: Block 7, Lot 3 Unit D, Fil-Am Friendship Highway, Angeles

If you’re looking for a cozy cafe to visit, Teaspoon Cafe’s charming interiors and vintage furniture will make you swoon. It’s the perfect cafe for a tita date with the barkada! A visit here will also bring you a whiff of nostalgia as they incorporate fave childhood Pinoy candies in their drinks: Cloud 9, White Rabbit, and Curly Tops to name a few. They also have a branch at SM Clark, which features an outdoor garden setting.
