Chicken Liver & Tofu Sisig


Makes 2 servings
Preparation and cooking time: 1 hour


1 tsp oil
1 tbsp butter/ margarine
2pcs garlic, peeled and chopped
1 whole red onion, minced
1 pc siling green, chopped
1pc red chili, chopped
1 tbsp mayonnaise
¼ cup soy sauce
2 pcs calamansi, deseeded and juiced
¼ cup chicken liver, sliced into bitesized pieces
1/8 cup chicken gizzards and heart, sliced into bitesized pcs
1 pc egg
4pcs tofu, cut into cubes and deep fried


1. Take your chicken innards and marinade it in soy sauce and calamansi.
2. In a pan heat oil and melt butter on medium heat. Saute garlic and half of the chopped red onions, green and red chilies.
3. Pour in the marinated chicken innards and saute until cooked. This will only take about 5 minutes.
4. Crack in the egg and saute until egg is cooked. Take out from the heat, mix in the deep fried tofu, mayonnaise and garnish with spring onions (and more chilies to taste).
