5 pieces pandas leaves, tied into a knot
1 cup coconut milk
1 cup coconut cream
1 cup glutinous rice, soaked
Salt to taste
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon buko pandan essence

1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons water
1 cup coconut meat

Banana leaves washed and cut into 8×8 inches squares

1. In a pot over medium-low heat, add the pandan leaves, coconut milk, and coconut cream. Stir and simmer until aromatic. {first white liquid is milk, second is cream}
2. Add rice, salt, sugar, and buko pandan flavouring. Mix until almost cooked and sticky. {remove first shot of teaspoon with clear liquid.}

1. In a pan with a bit of oil, add sugar and allow to caramelize.
2. Mix in water and coconut meat. Mix well until coconut meat is coated with caramelized sugar. Set aside to cool.

1. Place banana leaves, 2 at a time, in a microwave for 30 seconds. {lazy susan with banana leaves, blur frame and add text “MICROWAVE FOR 30 SECS.” then show microwaves leaves on lazy susan}
2. Spread about 1/2 a cup of suman on a banana leaf, shape into a square.
3. Place about 1/2 tablespoon of filling slightly below the middle of the suman. Roll the banana leaf, using it to secure a suman log inside.
4. Add another banana leaf and roll. Fold the sides and tie with pandan leaf strips.
5. Steam for 20 minutes and serve with more filling and coconut cream.
