2-Way Fried Chicken

DIFFICULTY: Easy
Makes: 6 to 12 servings
Preparation and cooking time: 45 minutes


Ingredients:

Oyster Sauce Coating:
1/2 kg (6 pieces) chicken legs
1 sachet (8 grams) MAGGI MAGIC SARAP
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon minced ginger
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 sachet MAGGI Oyster Sauce
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon sliced spring onion

Sweet Chili Sauce Coating:
1/2 kg (6 pieces) chicken legs
1 sachet (8 grams) MAGGI MAGIC SARAP
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1 cup vegetable oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
1/4 cup water

Procedure:

Oyster Sauce Coating:
1. Season chicken with MAGGI MAGIC SARAP and pepper. Coat well with flour. Pan fry in preheated oil until golden brown. Set aside to drain excess oil.
2. Remove oil from pan leaving 2 tablespoons. Saute garlic, ginger, and sugar. Pour MAGGI Oyster Sauce and water. Simmer until thick.
3. Toss in fried chicken pieces. Transfer on a serving plate, top with spring onion, and serve immediately.

Sweet Chili Sauce Coating:
1. Season chicken with MAGGI MAGIC SARAP and pepper. Coat well with flour. Pan fry in preheated oil until golden brown. Set aside to drain excess oil.
2. Remove oil from pan leaving 2 tablespoons. Saute garlic and pour sweet child sauce and water. Simmer until thick.
3. Toss fried chicken pieces. Transfer on a serving plate and serve immediately.
